IVYBRIDGE INBOX HOCKEY LEAGUE
WHY INBOX HOCKEY
- 3-on-3 is a “skills” based game, played in tight spaces at a fast pace. Players quickly improve their “skills” to adapt to this fast pace.
- Less space = less time = quicker decisions!
- 3-on-3 hockey increases puck handling; team play; transition from offense to defense / defense to offense;
- Goalies are always in the play, more shots, and more movement which helps conditioning, awareness and positioning.
- Players that are not “goal scorers” get the opportunity to touch the puck more and gain confidence.
- Players used to playing offense get to play and appreciate the defensive side of the game and defensive players get to be more creative on the offensive side of the game.
WHEN
The 3V3 Ivybridge Inbox Hockey League (IIHL) will begin on 5th November 2023. Its scheduled to run every two weeks on Sundays from 12:00am till 04:00pm. League dates are Day 1 – 05/11/23, Day 2 – 19/11/23, Day 3 – 03/12/23.

RULES
Inbox Hockey is played in a square area so four equal straight sides (3 sides surrounded by walls and 1 side by wooden benches). An Inline Hockey puck and Ice Hockey goals are used. No slap shots allowed. No checking. Click on the link to more detailed rules >> iNBOX HOCKEY – BRIHA
FORMAT
Total of 4 Teams, Round Robin format (each match will be 2 periods 12 minutes each running clock with a 3 minute half time). Game format is 3 on 3 plus goalie. No Timeouts or Overtime. No slapshots allowed. No checking. Teams are limited to 6 players (min 4 and max 6), plus the goalkeeper. 3 Game Guarantee Tournament Bracket means that every team is guaranteed to play 3 games every league day.
League fees and Player registration
All teams are reminded that league fees are due by the 1st November 2023. Only players registered and named on the website will be permitted to participate in official matches.
