3V3 Plymouth Hockey League is geared towards providing players the opportunity to enhance player development and heighten awareness of the game.
WHEN
The 3V3 Ice Hockey League will goes from November and finish in January. All games are played on Saturdays (evening) with playoffs and championship games.

WHY
During the 5 on 5 game, players can go almost the whole game without repeatedly touching the puck. In 3 on 3, you could touch the puck every battle for team possession of the puck. When the player gets more experience handling the puck during game situations, the player is going to improve much more than the players who hardly touch the ball in 5 on 5.
In 3v3 ice hockey there is more room to operate.
A lot of rookie players don’t have the skill, strength, or experience to utilise their hockey skills with 10 players on the rink. 3V3 gives them more room to operate and practice their skills., it also gives them a split second longer to recognise a situation.
Our 3v3 activities will give players on average 150% more shots, moves, passes and possessions compared to a typical one hour 5 on 5 game.
